UPDATE
No replies on any of the 3 jobs i applied for
But i have got letters back from the companies regarding repayments and they have now sent me standing order forms to get the ball rolling.
Also i have been accepted for a cap one card so i can now start to rebuild my credit rating0 -
Would be working 75hrs a week be againest the law or is it allowed?
Cause my 1st job is 45hrs and can get a 2nd job which is about 30hrs[/QUOTE]
working above 40 hour i believe you have to sign a waiver for to say you agree but for second employer you have to declare you are in a full time job so you are taxed and NI on all second earnings as you get your allowance from your main job
Do not make the mistake of not declaring it and not paying full tax and NI because the tax man always finds out and guess what you will start your spiral of debt off all over again as they will catchup with you
but before i had the misfortune of an accident i worked in excess of 100 hours per week and yes mine was fully declared and accountable thankfully
I hope this helps to answer your question in some way £2.00 savings club =£2.000 -
dnt worry the 2 jobs idea wont be going ahead if things go well over next few weeks as will get a new job which will pay enough and alot more than the 2 jobs here0

Fairmorn......hold your horses! My summing up of the situation is as follows:
you had large debts, self-inflicted
you were fortunate enough to receive a lump sum of money to enable you to pay your debts off
you are wanting a credit card to use to rebuild your credit rating
you are enquiring about overdrafts
you have contemplated working a 75 hour week
Now, why are companies to whom you owe money sending you standing order forms? I thought you were going to repay all your debts with the lump sum that you received.
Why are you enquiring about overdrafts?
Why even consider working 75 hours per week?
It seems to me that you are going at it all like a bull at a gate. You don't seem to have a sensible plan and you don't take a lot of notice of the helpful advice which has been given to you. Not that it is compulsory to act on any advice given, but do remember that some of the advice here comes from people who have been in debt and have turned their lives around. Maybe the reason that you have not had a lot of response is that people can't see that you are really willing to help yourself.
All kindly meant.:snow_grin"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow........":snow_grin0 -
why dont you bother to read the complete thread before jumping down my throat ok
I was going to get a lump sum but there was a fall back and i wasnt getting it in the end so then i decided to contact all companies so can pay off the debts in installments and also £2.3k worth of debt doesnt make it huge amounts. thats nothing.
Also working 75hrs a week was to clear debts very fast and for me to save some money.
I wasnt asking about overdrafts i was asking about bank accounts and upgrades thats all for the future not now
I dont see a problem of getting a credit card to try and rebuild my rating. i have learned from my mistakes and moving up and forward ok so no need to have a go when u dont know the full story0 -
I think the confusion comes from the fact that you are posting on the Debt-Free Wannabe forum. Do not be surprised if contributors urge you to reconsider your intention to get in to debt again. If you have a question about using credit may be one of the other forums on MSE would be more appropriate, as it doesn't sound as if you are going to be receptive to any of the advice you are given here.0

Fairmourn
May i suggest that the ideas you have for the future, for when you have paid off all your debt that you put those to one side to deal with at that time, you may find it easier and a little less confusing for us readers:) 0n a more postitive thought, i'm sure you will be able to sort through all the debt and get it back on track as you seem to be very determined :T keep us posted as to how you're doing and i wish you luck with it all

2.5Kreally is manageable especially if you're looking to change jobs obviously for a better salary. Working 2 jobs is fine for the money but is hard work. I actually feel if anyone can mange without doing 2 jobs then so much the better but sometimes its needed especialy if its a big debt. you certainly seem to have everything under control. You have a savings account, have you thought about an ISA at all? you only need £1 to set up an instant ISA, just a thought but you'd get more advise on the board that deals with ISA's cant remember the name
