Lidl Plus... bye, bye.

I've never been a great fan of Lidl Plus (at least when compared to Sainsbury's/Nectar offers). And twice in the last four months their %$&^ IT infrastructure was down, so the Lidl Plus card couldn't even be scanned (compare this with Sainsbury's where I had just one outage in more than two years). And scanning a receipt later is of course not possible.

Now they've plumbed new lows. Two shops in the last two weeks and none of the shops appeared on the app, meaning no £5 voucher for the next shop, no free veggies etc. After five days I complained to so-called Customer Service and after some not very friendly to and fro they would at least give me the voucher (and I was lucky as I had kept the paper receipt!).

Well, shopped again last Wednesday and the same thing happened... until now no shop in the app where their FAQs say something about max 48 hours turnaround.

Good riddance, Lidl.

Your post made me check my app. Same! I shopped last weekend and no receipt logged at all and no record of my shop.

I would also advise people to check their paper receipt carefully. Twice in the past 3 weeks we have been overcharged. Given the reduction on the orange stickered "50% off" items, then the same items have been charged full price further down the bill, so paying twice for the same items. Second time it was nearly £3 overcharge. Also just on one occasion caught the till operator putting a 50% reduced item through at full price and they immediately corrected it.

Lidl did refund the overpayments when we brought it to their attention the following week

Isn't all done by scanning the item with the exception of bakery items

Have you checked that it's not been turned of accidentally as its on the QR code screen toggling the button between of and on its still appears to read digital  receipt only no matter where the dot ends up I would think the on is to the right
It does alter the QR code

Yes, but obviously they scanned the same item twice on the one occasion, and scanned the full price rather than reduced price on the other

I gave up on Lidl Plus some time ago. At most I go in once a month as it’s not close. I was always forgetting to check the app before going shopping. Several times it needed an update and I get a very poor mobile signal, so couldn’t use it. I decided for the minimal use it simply was not worth the effort or frustration!
Tesco Clubcard ,on the other hand, is great. Because Tesco is situated next door to the Lidl, and Tesco deliver! They are the only supermarket here that offers delivery so I love them :)

So I got an alert today saying I'd hit my £5 voucher.

Today (22nd) my shop from the 13th has been added to my receipt history and spend history.

    My offers also appeared

I am missing out of 10% off because I don't spend £250, although come near it.  It seems crazy to spend another £15 on my last shop to get  the 10%.
