The formula =MID( copy cell, 4, 10) works with any GBX or GBP (or USD or CHF etc) values in Libre Office (and probably in all the other spreadsheets). Increase the 10 if working with bigger numbers, smaller numbers just work. For the £2.90, I just tick the 'Detect special numbers' box in the import dialogue and it comes in as 2.90 formatted as currency, so displaying £2.90.

Manually updating  it copy and paste  would not seem the  best approach, especially if more than one data source us required.
Excel has a method to automate such   a data import and update when required.
Anybody interested do  search on goggle etc for "auto link and update excell from web page" to get overview and how to do it

You would expect by Saturday Friday's close prices would be updated. Trustnet and Interactive Investments agree exactly as far as my portfolios go, but Morningstar now do not, and are way out. They seem to be pretty useless now for latest prices, yet another "update" that ends up worse than before.

I was feeling very downbeat by the MS revised Watchlist page.  I know, I know it is free.  Because it allowed the listing of multiple investment types (OIECs, ETFs), it was my goto source for my watchlist.

I'd also set up some google sheets referencing the scraped MS data. The ETFs still seem to function but the OIECs need to be re-jigged (fixed), but with my sadness regarding the use of GBP prices and the inconsistent ot unknown price point, I'm unsure I'll bother to fix it using MS.  The reason for using MS instead of just 'googlefinance' function was that it wasn't easy / possible to get UK OIEC prices out of GF.  I'll revisit that first to see if anything has changed there.

Have you tried scraping UK OIEC prices from the FT website ? Works ok for me.
