Does Gatehouse accept a £1 test deposit?

I recently opened a isa with Gatehouse my first with this bank.
The minimum  deposit is £1000 so would they accept a test deposit or decline it?

Me too, but when l asked them directly  the answer was "if you intually send below the minimum  opening  deposit  for your chosen account  it will be sent back and your account  may be closed  for not meeting the opening conditions  of the account ".

I've been on the forum long enough to realise  what a bank/BS says and what folks on here have done don't always match up.

I've done it with Oxbury and a couple of others. It was all fine.
I imagine if you stick a quid in and do nothing else they will contact you or close the account after some weeks/months but if you follow up with a proper deposit in a sensible time frame then it will be fine.

I think I did a test deposit with Gatehouse a few years back because I always do. If you follow up with the required minimum amount straight away I'm sure it'll be ok.

Ok, looks like I'll  give it a shot when l fund it.
