This seems to be the system messing up. As on my UC this month my Carers Allowance was only £280.03 deducted and not the usual £354.90. Contacted them and it was an overpayment so I have to pay back the extra £74, which I did with the extra amount on the day I received my UC so I paid in full not to have to pay it back in installments. Twice in 2 months they made a mistake with my UC

I got my UC Statement this morning and for some reason they have only taken 1 weeks of CA off my UC when it should be the 4 weeks.

since i have been on UC which started in Feb i have not had a issue with the CA part of it but as i say for some reason it seems DWP have made a bit of a bulls up with that part.

It was April last year when I had an incorrect deduction (too low) for New Style ESA.
And this month I advised someone who had the same happen this year.
Honestly these bugs shouldn't happen at all let alone annually.

Oh that probably explains why that happened to me in 2022 then.  I'll have to keep an eye out when I get my next statement.

Same thing has happened to me, Carers always gets deducted at £354.90, last statement they deducted it at £268.36 resulting in a overpayment of £86.54, got a huge shock when I received a letter stating I owed them £386.54
