CA deduction on UC

My UC award has been produced and for some reasons the carer allowance deduction changed from £354.90 to £245.
My child has recently moved from DLA to PIP. Last DLA payment was 8 April. I would have thought CA should continue.
Do I need to notify CA if the change?
Thanks

Is it £245.03 exactly? And does your AP end on the 16th?
There is another thread about this happening to someone, and it appears to be because they are only deducting until the CA rate was increased.
Is there another unexplained deduction for £118.68?0 -

I don't think it is the transfer to PIP which has caused this. They have only deducted for CA until the 6th April, which wouldn't match with your dates, but does match with the uprating.
Is there another deduction on your UC statement, as I suggested above? If not, I think this is an error which UC have made, as someone else has also reported happening.0 -
No there is no other deductions. Everything else is exactly the same like last month only the CA deduction is lower.

Ok, so it seems to be DWP error.
You should be able to confirm whether the CA has stopped or not by checking if they paid you on the 7th and 14th April?0 -
I received £329 on 7th April.Daily CA works at £11.6679. From 17 March to 7 April 21 days equals to £245.03.DLA ended on 7 April with payment made on 8th. PIP started from 9th April so there is a break of 1 day. May because of that CA stopped?0

Ah right, you are paid 4-weekly in arrears.
£329 equates to 3 weeks at the old rate and 1 week at the new rate.
I'm surprised though, because the 4-weekly payment received on the 7th should have all been at the old rate, I believe. Unless you've been paid early due to Easter? When were you last paid before the 7th?0 -

Also, if entitlement to CA ends during the middle of a benefit week, it is supposed to continue until the end of that benefit week.0 -

Thanks, @poppy12345, I've now seen that this is how DWP do it in practice.
If anyone knows how they're allowed to pay in that way, I would be very interested! The law seems clear that it can either be paid weekly in advance or 4-weekly in arrears. There does not seem to be an option for 3 weeks in arrears and one week in advance in the legislation, and the DMG also doesn't give such an option.0
