Link Financial purchased debts.

Options
Hi,
It's been a long time since I dealt with DCA's, however, due to my disability, sickness and an elderly dog requiring long term treatment, I have, over the last couple of years fallen behind with my 2 credit cards, my JD Williams account, PayPal credit, etc. PP are ok, I managed to get a bit of leeway and pay them a bit of a lump sum. I had an agreement of £25 p/m with Vanquis, Cap1, and Marisota. All of these debts are under £1050.

Long story short, after 1 payment to both Vanquis and Marisota, they sold my debt to LC Asset 2, who instructed Link Financial. I have been with these companies a long time and this is the first financial defaults I have had for many years.

Do I still CCA Link for both of these?
Would a prove it letter not be relevant for this case?

I gather LC Asset 2 Sàrl is the main company for Link Financial?

Link are also sending voicemails.

I am not in a position to pay any lump sums.

The J D Williams letter says "...for accounts formed under the CCA 1974, (amended 2006).

A nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, you can request a copy of your original agreement from anyone who is writing to you, providing it is a CCA debt, which these are.

Do it as a formal request so that it becomes unenforceable if they don't comply

Today I received 10 letters from Link Financial Outsourcing claiming to be about a debt for my daughter who died 2 years ago. They state that notices about the debt have been sent over the last 5 years, they have not as post would come to me. If you look them up on companies house they have a very small turnover (under £30,000). I was about to ring and give them an earful but have decided to report them to the FCA instead. It's a complete scam.

Link Financial are a massive debt purchasing conglomerate, LFO are a part of that company.

I`m sorry to hear about your Daughter, whoever dealt with her estate should write to link informing them of her death, if there is nothing left to cover the debt, they should write it off, as liability remains with her estate.
