Success with Renewal Hyperoptic

Just wanted to share a quick success story for anyone else negotiating their broadband renewal with Hyperoptic.
I was coming to the end of my 12-month contract on their 50Mb package, paying £27/month. When it came to renewal, they offered me 50Mb at £29/month (a price increase), or 150Mb at the same £29 — but no real loyalty discount and no mention of better value tiers.
After some back and forth (and pointing out I'd never had an introductory offer, despite their claims), I politely pushed for a better deal — especially as 1Gb was showing as £63/month in my account, and £44/month for new customers on their public website.
The end result?
They offered me 1Gb for £38/month, no setup fees, on a 12-month contract. That’s cheaper than the new customer rate and far better value than what was shown in my dashboard.
If you’re with Hyperoptic and coming up to renewal:
-
Don’t accept the first offer.
-
Be polite but firm.
-
Use comparison sites and mention public pricing.
-
Highlight loyalty — especially if you’ve had no discounts previously.
Hope that helps someone else save a few quid!
