Broadband cable problem with trees

We have a Virgin bundle of broadband, TV and phone via an underground cable. I would like to save cost by dropping the TV and phone. We can get a good Freeview box for TV for a one off cost and the phone is rarely used by anyone but scammers.
One option is to move to a new broadband supplier and I did place an order with BRSK. However, the installation team could not do the job because of trees between the house and pole. Are there any network providers that will install through trees? I am sure there must be some way of protecting the cable from friction and squirrels etc..

If a tree is interfering with your broadband connection, you should contact your Local Network Operator or your broadband provider to report the issue. Or is this your neighbours trees?I thought that the cables were mostly underground?

BRSK leech onto Openreach infrastructure, which will be the telegraph pole in question , if between it and the customers address there are tree branches stopping the installation of an overhead cable , then they BRSK should deal with that , something OR do every day if the week , cutting branches of trees that overhang public areas doesn’t need the tree owners consent , if the cable needs to pass over private property they should ask the tree owner before the work is undertaken , but Alt Nets tend to want easy, cheap and no hassle installations , so will probably just say you can’t be provided.
Before anyone makes a ridiculous suggestion that if it’s an Openreach pole , that Openreach should clear a path for BRSK to put their overhead cable up …..that’s never going to happen , the only way OR will do that type of work is if the pole also has Openreach equipment on it , and the OP orders from an Openreach based provider , otherwise it’s BRSK problem and they probably are not interested in hiring the staff to do this type of work0 -

Can't see the cable being able to take additional protection its not only friction involved it's movement0 -
I intend to ask Virgin for a broadband only price but I always like to have a few competitive quotes as well.0

The OP got as far as ordering BRSK , them visiting and leaving without installing, so the ‘considering mu options’ had already been done before ordering service from BRSK , if BRSK is now off the table , then presumably the OP’s second choice is now the one to go for , surely all the comparison was done previously before deciding on BRSK , in this case Virgin are the incumbent and presumably they were too expensive otherwise why be looking for a different supplier, if VM now ‘do a deal’ to keep the OP’s custom , presumably that deal could have been obtained from the start without ordering and being let down by BRSK .0
