Switching to Sky broadband from Plusnet.

I wonder if anyone can help.  I am trying to switch from Plusnet to Sky to take up their offer which is on comparison sites of £22 a month.  All is fine until I put in my Plusnet account details to which Sky say I have no landline with Plusnet.....but I do!  I don't want to lose my number so I stopped the transfer and phoned Plusnet, they said phone Sky.  When I phone Sky they say that deal is not available through them direct I have to pay £26 instead. Very frustrating, has this happened to anyone else?   I am tempted to proceed anyway and hope my phone line gets transferred automatically but its a bit of a risk if it doesn't.  Any advice would be appreciated.
