Ukcps charge for parking outside marked bay

Received charge, asked gym where car was parked to ask to cancel, they wouldn’t ask landowner. Reason for parking outside bay on one side was large hedge that restricted width of bay, and parking in bay would have damaged car door on opening. Free parking and nearest sign to bay was a distance away so not possible to read in parking area.
Appealed to ukcps using template text on this site and the appeal rejected.

We haven’t appealed to iAS - independent appeals service - and now are out of 28 days so would need to pay £15 and their decision is binding on both. Not sure whether we ignore, or appeal and pay £15, or pay £100. The company is a member of IPC.

Ignore, not worth appealing to the IAS, dont waste any money either, UKCPS were never going to cancel the PCN
By all means complain about it to the landowner, plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum
Also read the 4th post about ignoring debt collectors letters too2 -
I’m on a FB group and the view is same about IAS, not to waste £15, but some views are that parking outside bays difficult to challenge, so suggest paying.0

Wise up and start ignoring UKCPS. Tell them if you move house, of course. Come back if you ever get a small claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

However , parking over the line is difficult to argue and win.
But nobody even TRIES the IAS if they have half a brain. What on earth was that person thinking?! Why are they even asking to see paperwork? Nobody needs to see paperwork.
Come on, it's useless UKCPS. Ignore them,PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Please post a copy of the PCN as per group rules you agreed to on joining. These cases are generally black and white, parking T&Cs require the vehicle to be positioned in the space, driver decided not to comply and a PCN was issued. If the sign was not readable from the vehicle the driver needed to walk closer to read it. Appeals to IPC are generally pointless, if keeper feels strongly they can challenge in court by which time it will be £285.
All the other comments say similar, ie outside the bay, then difficult to challenge.0 -

You realise who he is? Leave the group.
There is a good one to use instead and it's not one run by an ex-clamper who has no idea how to defend a court claim!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
