EV Cabling

You are going to have to wait & see what the installer says. Depending on the run of cabling required. Std install is 10mtr of cable. Any more costs more.Albert0500 said:

EV charger does not need to be wired to consumer board.Albert0500 said:Hi everybody,
I'm hoping to get an EV charger fitted, but my Consumer Board is in the middle of the house under the stairs.
Is it possible to run the cables in the house and is there a good way to hide them, also once the cable goes outside it will need to be armoured cable, will the internal cable need to be armoured?
Hope that makes sense, thanks for reading!
They are far better being wired as a separate circuit from the meter supply.
Such as below, all down the righthand side of meterbox.
It could also be that where your meter is located & internal wiring is also classed as non std install.
If you have floorboards it could be possible to run under the floor & out through the wall where charger needs to be fitted. But again installer will decide on the best/easiest option.👍Life in the slow lane1 -
Had the same thing, cable went under the floorboards.0
