How old is your solar system?
Mine is roughly 4.6 billion years old

The small daytime rate saving won't make any difference for us, but there's a benefit in getting the cheap rate guaranteed for 12 months. Against that, there's the £25 exit fee.shanecb said:
Out of interest why wouldn't people fix? It's a couple of button presses and gives stability over a year. The only downside I can see, is I'm not sure what tariff you go back on to after the 12 months is up?0 -
Thank you. I don't suppose you or anyone knows what happens after the 12 months is up? I.e. what you revert to?0

The saving is not worth it. @ best £2 month. But with summer coming usage does go down.shanecb said:Existing Intelligent Octopus Go user...I'm interested in Intelligent Octopus go fixed too. I know it's only 1p off the daily rate, but with a hot tub that might be worth it for me.

What am I missing?
Given the comment in the email "Thanks to a wholesale price dip". Who is to say that the next price cap will not go down. Making the std tariff cheaper.
While I get the stability over a year, I also factor in savings. It needs to be worthwhile. Which in this case to me it is not.

I agree with this, a 1p reduction isn't worth fixing considering the predicted outlook for the price cap. The forecast is a slight drop in the Summer and then a slight increase in winter, that was before Trumps tariffs which could see a drop in energy prices with a weaker economy. Overall I'm not seeing anything worrying enough in the next 12 months that tempts to me to lock in on this deal.born_again said:
