The approach MSE has used is tad basic but version I downloaded awhile ago seems to work ok - not sure why you are getting that result. If you are conversant with Excel, have a look at the formula's used to understand calculations.
I modified the planner for member of my family to make it easier to use - if you want to contact me directly happy to mail you a copy.0 -
I have downloaded the Budget Planner into Open Office Calc and filled in the figures - now I'd like to print it out, but my printer will only print a very tiny image, far too small to read. Any suggestions, anyone?
Thank you.0 -
Can anyone help please? I have just spent neraly 2 hours trying to get the budget planner spread sheet to work. I have followed the instructions exactly and am still unable to use it. It's driving me crazy and will soon be forced to get out my credit card and go shopping to cheer myself up! AAAAAhhhhh!0

You do not say what is happening after you enter all your data.? what is it exactly that is not working for you?
The spreadsheet itself is very poorly designed giving the user a choice of three input fields (week, month, year) which some users find confusing.
I updated the planner for member of my family and it now uses only one input field & offers a menu for income / expenditure frequency. I also updated the chart to a single chart with view data options.
If you would like a copy of my version contact me directly & I will mail you one.0 -
I know your reply wasn't addressed to me but I'd love a copy of it and have sent you a pm.fitzroy0

can someone tell me where i'm supposed to enter the password "money". am using IE on Vista trying to open in OpenOffice. Didid "Save Target As" but after downloading when i try and open it all it gives me is:This document is password protected or encrypted. Open it in the application that saved it, remove the password or encryption then save it again. Then try and open it again in works
All i have the option of doing then is clicking "ok" and then it closes.

In Excel it would be TOOLS > PROTECTION > UNPROTECT you would then be asked to enter the password. You will aslo need to do this for each worksheet.
If OpenOffice will not let you do this I have sent you a PM with my email address. contact me directly & I will mail you an unlocked copy.0 -
The link keeps taking me back to the budget planning page0
