S&S ISA Recommendations for newbie

I have ~£10K available and want to invest some of this in a S&S ISA for the first time, but have no idea which platform to go with. I already have a saving account, premium bonds, cash ISA and LISA, but it seems so much more complex to choose a S&S ISA when there are fees and no AER. Any advice or recommendations?

It's an entirely different process from researching cash products - the significant choice when investing is the actual investment itself rather than the platform on which it's held, as the latter has much less impact on returns, etc, so have you identified something suitable to invest in yet, as this may influence where to hold it?1

No, I wouldn’t say I’ve looked at the options from this perspective (the actual investment). I have mainly compared the platforms based on managed/non managed, costs, and fees to buy/sell funds and shares.0

Going through the same process as well. S & S ISA seems a bit of a minefield.Ver0_24 said:I have ~£10K available and want to invest some of this in a S&S ISA for the first time, but have no idea which platform to go with. This is where I'm at. I've decided to use T212 as the platform because of the ease of use, low fees and I've had a 6 figure cash investment with them over the past year and the rate of return has been good.
I don't want the hassle of managing it and want a worldwide spread given the current turmoil, so am opting for 100% investment in Vanguard FTSE All-World fund. Not sure whether to pull the buy trigger tonight or wait to see what the markets do over the next 24.1 -
The point is that platform costs are quite small, compared to the potential big swings in the value of investments.Ver0_24 said:No, I wouldn’t say I’ve looked at the options from this perspective (the actual investment). So picking the right type of investments that are suitable for you, your age, your risk profile, your objectives, is the more important and tricky bit.0
