Adding to an ISA mid-term...can things get messy?

Hello
I've had a cash ISA with Barclays since June last year. Interest will be paid on it on the anniversary of me opening the account.
I now have funds to add, but will this complicate when interest is paid on the account or will will two separate interest intervals be created? And could I withdraw money from the first deposit with no penalties after the first year anniversary has passed?
I've tried to ask Barclays via their app and on-line backing, but it'd be easier to get them to tell me the third secret of Fatima.
Any advice welcome.

Adding new funds is unlikely to affect interest payment dates, which will generally be associated with the date of opening the account rather than the date of contributions, but ability to pay more in, or withdraw, will be determined by which product it is....0

Is it an easy access cash ISA or a fixed term one ?

It's a fixed term, opened in June last year.

How many years? If only 1 I'm not sure it's worth adding to it, even if that's allowed.0

Just spoke (at long last) to an actual person at Barclays - I can add another sum up to £20k and that plus my original amount plus interest will be available to withdraw when it matures in June or I can move the whole lot to another ISA...0
