ISA rates 2025-26 Open now, or wait a bit?

Do most organisations offer their best ISA rates right at the beginning of the new tax year, or  should I wait a little?

I was about to open a new fixed-term ISA for this new tax year and fund it with the full allowance, but just wondered if I should just 'hang fire' a week or so.

There's no predictable 'ISA season' anymore, so you can't bank on rates moving in either direction, other than to reflect wider market conditions, etc (i.e. gilt yields and so on), so it's no more or less of a gamble than at any other time.
