I hoovered and swept through before going to York. Had lovely lunch with DH - Castle Tearoom- if anyone is planning a visit to York. Back now and Poppet has had a second walk and I did a couple of errands en route.
Having failed miserably at wordle this morning I'm going to tackle the other puzzles now then put stuff on line for sale.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
I failed at Wordle too Jazee. Connections worked for me, I had to have masses of hints for Strands.Back door washed on the outside, tumbling composters emptied, newly planted pear tree (about three eight weeks ago, oops) mulched with a bucket of the fresh stuff, grass seeds watered again, sitting room dusted high and low and dewebbed, French and sash windows and their frames washed, another load through the washing machine and pegged out (throws *virtue*), bed sheet changed, Belovéd run to the station and hummus recipe checked for making tomorrow.I think I'm throwing in the towel for the day but there's a lot more that needs to be done and I haven't even started on the Hallway, stairs and landing. There's a lot that needs doing here. but I know the kitchen is pretty much under control as I've been doing bits over the past couple of weeks, like the oven, microwave and dishwasher. I'd forgotten how sparkly the oven can look it's been so long but it still looks great.Better is good enough.7

Morning. Hope you're all ok. Wordle in six, strands with three hints.
So far today I have done admin, made some fairy cakes, watered indoor plants and changed sofa throws. I now need to get those on the line.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Wordle in 4, Connections with two lives lost and Strands with multiple hints.Outdoor plants watered, double room emptied of gibble and furniture replaced where it should be, DWx1 and emptied, WMx1 and pegged out, breakfast scoffed, lemony hummus made (I forgot to add olive oil, no bad thing), yogurt made and I've lost 400g since yesterday.I had a strange March and abandoned the eating plan because it was just too much information to process but I'm back on track, so if all goes to plan I can lose 400g every couple of days, but not over the weekend. What I've discovered by abandoning it is that I might regain a little with normal unthinking eating, but the original 4kg loss has stayed off. I'm delighted with that. Giving up cheddar and big bars of chocolate kind of helped!

Pretty much the dailies are done. I just need to put out recycling and stuff for compost when I get back from Poppets walk. Bedding is changed and in WM, flat surfaces in bedroom are dusted and I've sorted out the shoe cupboard as per list. Threw lots away.Spend less now, work less later.5

Morning all - it will be afternoon by the time that I have typed this.
Thank you for the lists. I had list meltdown last night so now have a mega list of things to do before we have guests arriving on Friday for the weekend. I have, however, already ticked a couple of things off.
Priorities - potatoes planted this morning! I did change the bedding before I went and put the wm on, and have just remembered that I still need to hang that on the line. The builder is back this morning, and rebuilding has started. Hopefully this won’t take too long as the room is small.Yesterday we took advantage of no builders and hd a day out at a near-ish NT property. Lots of steps achieved and DH bought us coffees (we really need to get back in the habit of taking a flask, I have a zillion of them - well, maybe half a dozen - ready and waiting. We did remember water though. It was a lovely day with views right over the Welsh hills and the Mendips.
Next job - washing out onto the line.4 -
Just lost my post, grrr!!!
One way and another, I have spent most of the morning on the phone, but it has produced the desired results - we have actually booked a proper holiday, plus a couple of short breaks with family/friends
I got Wordle in 4, having found four of the letters at the first attempt, all sitting nicely in their proper places, but there were several options for the 5th letter. I gave up on Strands as soon as I had found the Spangram and realised that I know absolutely nothing about the subject. Connections was easy today, though.
There are still lots of bits of paper on/around my desk which I am gradually clearing/binning.
I haven't touched the Trunk of Treasure for almost a week: it contains only the 35mm slides now. Must sort and archive...
But now DH is going out to play trains, Rosie wants her walk, I've got a headache so I need to sleep, and I'm going out to the NT Centre meeting this evening. I shall be raiding the fridge to throw a half-decent evening meal together: probably a chicken stir fry because you can hide lots of odd bits in that!
It's slightly cloudy here today but still pleasantly warm for our walk. Will catch up again later. Hugs to all in need xxx
