How is you personal allowance £18570 ?  Are you referring to only having savings income ?  You do not get any extra allowance from that £1260 but have £252 deducted from your tax bill.  You need to give more details of your incomes from different sources.

    Have you got this right?
It is the non-tax payer that applies for the Marriage Tax Allowance, so your husband would get the £1260 added to his tax allowance.

If you are a non tax payer why did your husband feel the need to apply for Marriage Allowance?

Your Personal Allowance cannot be more than £12,570.

But you can have some income above that taxed at 0%.

And Marriage Allowance would knock £252 off your tax liability.

What is it you need help with 🤔

    Hello,

Regards my post above, I forgot to say that my husband was ill and was not working at the time, that is why he transferred the married couple allowance to me while I was working then.

My husband pays tax on his pensions. I don't pay tax on my pension. Can he claim back from me the married couple allowance?

What is the best for me to do?

    Thank you so much.

Roughly what are each of your aggregate taxable incomes?

If it makes sense for him not to pass his allowance to you anymore, he'll need to act quickly, as it'll run for another year from tomorrow:
If you cancel because of a change of income, the allowance will run until the end of the tax year (5 April).
