  • Just need to clarify one point.  Is the £325,000 NBR gross or net of any debts.

    Theres a reason for the high debt, but I don't want to muddy the water, hope that's ok.

    It’s the net value that is taxed and the NRBs are applied to, so all that is needed to avoid IHT is her NRB.
