Junior ISA mistake

Set up junior ISAs for both our kids at the same time. Unfortunately, we filled in the eldest child's birth year incorrectly, repeating her younger sister's birth year on the form by mistake. As a consequence, child 1 now has a junior ISA over the age of 18. Provider thinks she's younger. We've paid money into it not realising it should have been closed automatically and switched over to an adult ISA. What are the implications? Most especially for payments that went in after her 18th birthday? Any thoughts or experience appreciated!

Junior ISAs automatically turn into an adult ISA when the child turns 18.
In one way it shouldn't matter - since your child has turned 18, any post 18 contribution is in effect a contribution to an adult ISA.
However, if the interest rate paid on the account is still the rate appropriate to the Junior ISA and not to the adult ISA offered by the
institution in question, presumably there would be a need for adjustment.
I would have thought that you/your daughter should contact the provider and explain what has happened so that any necessary action can be taken.0
