As the title says! I’ve never had to use ISAs before because I wasnt worried about being taxed on interest and the rates on easy access were better. But I’ve actually got some money now. In previous years are there good deals come 6 April for new or transfers of old ISAs?

If anything the deals are probably better at the end of the financial year as they are scrambling for the last few investors. These aren’t going to get pulled immediately the new year starts but if you have the money then put it into an ISA as soon as you can. Rates on easy access can look better but remember the ISA is tax free so for a basic rate tax payer 4% in an ISA is equivalent to 5% in a taxable easy access account.

Can the likes of T212 not be opened now with the promo rate and funded in the 2025-26 ISA year?

If you've got money now then best to open the ISA now as well. You can always move it elsewhere later
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I’ve maxed out the chip ISA with the bonus rate at 5.25% this tax year. I’ve got 2 more months at the bonus rate, just been wondering whether I should jump ship for one with a better underlying rate before the tax year ends or whether something good might be on the horizon!
