SKY - "New Customer" only reward card & cashback?

Hi,

I got off the phone with SKY after expecting to haggle but didn't get any kind of offers or changes. This was for the 500mbps at £32, just broadband no extras. I was expecting them to at least price match other providers.

Will on the phone I brought up the reward card and cashback, that with those it would bring SKY's contract to a better average cost and was told that as I had been a customer with SKY 2 / 3 years ago I would not qualify for those and I would get an error if I tried to use them?

I know the cashback is based on cookies / trackers but I'm not sure about the reward cards.

If I used a link from say "TopCashBack" which includes a reward card and cashback, would I later be denied them after I started the contract with SKY? Is there anyway to check that the reward cards work before you start the contract?

Thanks for the help.

Most of those offers are for new customers only. Check the small print.
TCB and Quidco etc. won't pay out until your contract has been confirmed by Sky as meeting the T&C. That's one of the reasons why there's always a 2-4 month delay built in.

Nothing is ever guaranteed and you can't tell if it will work before starting the contract

Normally they pay out as otherwise the business model of cashback will fail
