letter of claim BW LEGAL - parking property management
bellatedd
Hello, wondering if someone can help. I have been following the advice on here for a while and have ignored all letters from BW legal until this one. It’s a letter of claim with an expiry date of 23/4/25.
I have not confirmed I was driving nor confirmed my address. Literally no contact or appeal directly with the parking firm.
I’ve checked out the newbies thread but if anyone can advise next steps that would be great.
Thank you in advance!

It's in the 2nd post of the newbees thread - by the way - what happened when you complained to the landowner?0

Ok will have another look, should I wait until closer to the 25th? And I haven’t complained to the landowner as it’s a residential block not retail park so not sure if it’s worth it?DE_612183 said:It's in the 2nd post of the newbees thread - by the way - what happened when you complained to the landowner?0 -
If it's residential - what is the parking charge for?
are you the resident or visitor?

Visitor, well working and visiting on an inspection of the building0

So get the freeholder to cancel it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
If you were employed by the freeholder you could send a message saying:
"While I was working for you on [date] for [job reference] your parking team mistakenly gave me a ticket: [ticket number]. Is it better for you to cancel it or would you rather I add the amount to your invoice?"
A neutral tone, not suggesting any deliberate wrongdoing, but also not entertaining the suggestion that you might eat the cost yourself, if necessary. And it would be much easier, if the freehold declines to cancel or cover it, to claim the cost back from the freeholder if they had the chance to cancel it now.
If your standard contract doesn't have it, an explicit clause about costs of parking on-site (or nearby, if impracticable to park on-site) wouldn't go amiss to really protect you against this kind of thing in the future.2 -
Hi, I had my mediator call and have now had a Notice of Transfer of Proceedings from my local court. Looks like I will have to go...very annoying0

that was to be expected1

Have to go to a court hearing? No parking company ever discontinues a claim this early in the process.Anyway, what happened when we said to contact the company who employed you?1
