Car lost power

The grinding noise, car felt sluggish and lost a lot of power would be my main concern. In theory, the last two might be because it went into limp mode but the car ECU would command this for a good reason, and they tend to stay in limp mode until the codes are cleared. A grinding noise tends not to resolve itself though.
Regarding coolant (if it were coolant alone), anywhere between min and max is fine. But coolant level dropping slightly wouldn't cause the symptoms in your OP, so I think its a red herring.
Previous advice stands - car needs to be properly diagnosed.1
