Hi all
Back again. If I am correct I don't need a comprehensive break down.
Using https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6539983/group-nexus-manchester-fort
I intend a slam dunk also.

Dear Sir/ Madam
I am appealing as the registered keeper.
You have failed to comply with the requirements of Schedule 4 of The Protection Of Freedoms Act 2012 namely, but not limited to, failing to deliver the notice within the relevant period of 14 days as prescribed by section 9 (4) of the Act.
You cannot, therefore, transfer liability for the alleged charge from the driver at the time to me, the keeper. There is no legal requirement to name the driver at the time and I will not be doing so.
Therefore, I suggest that you contact the driver. I do not expect to hear from Nexus group again other than to receive confirmation that this parking charge notice has been cancelled.
Signed

Hello ,
I’ll really appreciate if any one can guide me or help me on this matter.I have received this 4 days ago but issue date is not 10/09/25 and I received it on 22/09/25. The parking date is on 31/08/2025 Luton mall.I have paid for the parking and I have proof as on my statement. Some how they have still sent me this don’t know why. I have read some articles about it that some one had the same issue and they appealed it but the Group Nexus replied back to the appeal saying that they might have enter the wrong Reg number so therefore they asked to pay the amount. Now I’m not sure if I need to appeal it and follow the process as Mr TBrown mentioned. Can I please ask the advise what step should I follow.Thank you0 -
1. Appeal suggesting this can only have been a VRM typo (attach proof of payment BUT DO NOT SAY WHO WAS DRIVING)
2. Start your own thread when they reply.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you for your help,
something like this ,
Hello,
I am writing to you in relation to the PCN reference no…… I have spoken to the driver and I have been informed that they have paid the relevant parking charges are in question. I have been able to get the payment information bank (statement) from them to show that the payment was made on that day. I have attached the statement to show that the driver has paid the charges (this can only be the VRM typing error or system didn’t update the payment with the right VRM).You cannot, transfer liability for the alleged charge (even has been paid already) from the driver at the time to me, the keeper. There is no legal requirement to name the driver at the time.
Therefore, I suggest that you contact the driver for further information. I do not expect to hear from Nexus group again other than to receive confirmation that this parking charge notice has been cancelled.0 -
