Euro Car Parks (DCB Legal) Court Hearing

Options
Hello everyone, my brother received a Claim Letter from DCB Legal for a Parking Charge in October 2022 and he ignored the letters, its for staying over at a Car Park in Manchester Lime Square, but he only knew he stayed over because the lady at the Mediation said the Claimant states you stayed just over 4 Hours when its only free for 3 Hours. The POC itself isn't clear nor states he stayed over (POC Image Attached). But I have followed all the advise on here and he has been receiving numerous calls from DCB Legal which he didn't answer and has received a Hearing date of 30th May 2025 and the Fee needs to be paid by 2nd May 2025. He hasn't received a WS as of yet from DCB but following the advise on here I have written a WS and ready to be filed. I would just like to ask shall I wait until the last 14 days before the hearing and submit or submit before the Fee date?

What did he put in his defence? The template from on here?

Wait until 14 days before the hearing. Unless his defence is terrible, in which case different tactics might be required.

and the Fee needs to be paid by 2nd May 2025
By DCB Legal. Unlikely they will!

Show us the NoD when he gets it because we can't count these successes without the NoD.

...but tell him to draft a WS and evidence bundle, in case it is needed
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, he used the template from here and added everything in as stated by you guys, they tried offering him a lower amount at the Mediation but he rejected that and after that he was receiving numerous calls from them and leaving automated Voicemails telling him its urgent and he needs to call them back, and then a few weeks later received the Court Date of 30th May

Great. Was worried a proper defence hadn't been submitted, making it less likely they'd discontinue.

So see if they pay the fee.

Good afternoon Guys, the deadline for the payment for Court Fee by DCB was tomorrow (2nd May) and they have bailed. My brother just received the NoD. Happy Days. Many thanks for all of you who have put all your efforts in helping us all with the great bits of information and templates. Wouldn't have done it without you guys 😁
