Car Finance DCA application help please

I'm not sure I should just scan and send off I.D. (particularly passport and it being re-newed as I write this. Why would they need I.D. at this stage?

Thank you for the reply and yes, it could be that simple but I had precise details of my identity, the car, the policy and all other details necessary to find out if it qualifies for compensation. I would expect to give the personal details when they know compensation needs to be paid.0
