Check the frequency you've got, as I had this issue years ago when I set up my first STO and I used to work for Barclays! They have more options to choose from for frequency than other banks and have 2 options which look similar but have 2 different meanings. The first is "Month - specific date" and "Specific day monthly". I only found out that I had set it up for the wrong frequency when my payment didn't go out, I had a live chat and the member of staff explained that I'd picked the wrong wording.

That is better than Chase Bank, They just did not pay a SO that fell on a weekend or on the first working day afterwards. Got £100 off them for two complaints so not too bad.
