wallofbeans said:Can anyone advise whether I should switch to this EDF Simply Fixed Direct Aug26v2 or stick with my current Octopus tariff?
Current Octupus is: Gas - 5.72 unit rate, 29.34 standing charge / Electric - 24.54 unit rate, 55.79 standing charge
And EDf is: Gas - 5.61 unit rate, 25.58 standing charge / Electric - 25.79 unit rate, 41.17 standing charge
There's no exit fee and I'd go through TCB too - it seems like a good idea, but any reason to not go for it?1 -

EDF are often criticised for the poor customer services. If that doesn't bother you, I believe British Gas (who are also renowned for poor customer service) have a good deal via some comparison sites. But, you should plug in your actual usage and make a decision based on that.3 -

41p lekky sc vs 55p is a no brainer, as i think it is safe to say that over the next 12 months the sc will not drop to anywhere near 40p for the majorirty of the country, so i would be all over that up here in Glasgow if i could get it.0
