MET Parking PCN - Stansted Starbucks

Options
Hello, I am aware of the two seperate car parks catching people out - this doesn’t apply to my circumstance.

I parked in the Starbucks car park - the only place I went from my car was Starbucks (have bank statement to prove purchase). Then went back to my car to eat and drink. I drove out of the car park 39 minutes after entering to pick my son up from departures. According to the signs, Starbucks customers had 1 hour free parking, I have met both of these requirements. So, why have I rec’d a parking fine?
Anyone else have this issue?

It seems they think you parked in the McDonalds bays:

The Joe Lycett video says it all
MET / SOUTHGATE PARK/ STARBUCKS, MCDONALDS IS A BIG SCAM

One car park split into two to make money ?
MET is a BPA outfit and clearly the BPA allows the scam

Imagine driving into a retail park with all the big names.  and it is split into segments yet the whole car park is operated by one parking company ??A SCAM ?

And that is MET PARKING STANSTED

  • The thing is though. didn’t park in any McDonald's bay. I turned left into the car park (McDonalds was then on my right). I drove around to the front of Starbucks main entrance, so the furthest away from McDonalds. I walked into Starbucks, purchased my things and walked back to my car (that was parked out the front of the main entrance to Starbucks. The next movement I make is in my car as I drive out of the car park towards the airport. All within 39 minutes.
    I just don’t get it.
  • Sadly, I panicked and appealed stating what I had done (therefore, admitting I was the driver 😞).

    Doesn't matter.

Try a complaint to Magnus like this person did and ask him to explain why you got a PCN:
