Wired desktop / portable speaker

Any suggestions for a top sound-quality wired desktop /portable speaker? If it has a rechargable battery that is a bonus but not absolutely necesssary, if it is USB powered I have a 6Ah USB battery which should power it for a while.
I know a small speaker is never going to have quite the same power and depth as a big box one but would like something which can be used in the workshop or when working elsewhere.
Music is mostly Classical or Jazz type stuff so prefer to find something which brings out the detail and depth of the music,

What do you want to feed to it - bluetooth, internet radio, Spotify etc? a cassette deck, Cd's ??
There's plenty of stuff around but you need to be more specific about what you want to do and how much you want to spend. Bose do some good stuff or have a shufti here - https://www.whathifi.com/best-buys/streaming/best-multi-room-systems or even Amazon Echo/Google Nest etc
I drive a couple decent sized NAD speakers via bluetooth using one of these - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Nobsound-Bluetooth-Amplifier-Wireless-Receiver-black/dp/B0725PJQQV
The quality is pretty good and it will rattle the windows just running from a redundant 12v router power supply (cheaper versions are avaialble from places like AliExpress - https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005007053115498.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.101.717154x254x2fi&algo_pvid=ace6315a-327d-493b-bc7f-cf09d5c7f97a&algo_exp_id=ace6315a-327d-493b-bc7f-cf09d5c7f97a-50&pdp_ext_f={"order":"279","eval":"1"}&pdp_npi=4@dis!GBP!55.56!16.35!!!507.38!149.27!@211b629217433553144966443edc1f!12000039240251528!sea!UK!2377185888!X&curPageLogUid=vjocU0KiAszk&utparam-url=scene:search|query_from:Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1 -

Wired better, prefer to avoid bluetooth. Single speaker unit rather than dual speakers as that is more covienient and portable.Budget of say £200.0 -
Lots here but mostly come in pairs - https://www.amazon.co.uk/powered-speakers/s?k=powered+speakersNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Maybe a Anker Soundcore Motion X600, it has a 3.5mm input and runs off battery1

If you want a really good portable speaker that has wired capability, but also doesn't limit you to just that....Audio Pro Addon C3 (Black) | Portable Wireless Music System | Richer Sounds
Long battery life is also a plus.Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

Why not Bluetooth? Lots of great speakers that meet your criteria otherwise.I really like great quality sound, realistic not hyped that suit classical, jazz, acoustic and the rest.Really surprised at how good some of the modern small ones sound. Certainly not as good as a better floor stander or near field monitor - but for the price, great value!1

If you don't need it portable, you could go for some small monitor speakers around £100 like PreSonus Eris 3.5BT/ 4.5BT or M-Audio BX4BT or Edifier MR4.
If it is something portable, Anker X600 currently on sale at £1201 -
