NatWest debit card I didn’t apply for

I’ve just got home and have a NatWest debit card I didn’t apply for. I need to report to their fraud team but their automatic number asks for account details I don’t have because it’s not my account. How can I get in touch with a human urgently?

I think you have to call their customer services number during specific periods, if you want to speak to a person. (Maybe something like Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, Sat 9am-4pm)
Outside those hours, I think it's only an automated service.
I don't think anything irreversible could happen, if you can't speak to anyone before Monday.

1. Try ringing 159. The banks set this number up themselves to make it easy to report frauds and scams.
Worth a try at least.
2. Does this debit card have the account number printed on it. Mine do.1 -
Are you using the phone number on the card? If I lost my card while out and about I wouldn't have a clue about any account details.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

This is actually crazy that I’ve discovered a fraud debit account and also a fraud loan application and I cannot report it for another 11 hours0

Natwest phone numbers

You should be able to speak with somebody and ask them to block the card/account in the first instance. Ask them to provide you with an incidence number and take if needed the name of the operator. If they are reluctant, raise a formal complaint and ask for the reference number. Note down date and time as calls are recorded so you have some sort of evidence that you made effort to report it.
They would also need to remove the data from the CRA and you can dispute it with the CRA too. You can also report it to https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/
I guess as log as you can proof that you made an effort to report and resolve it in a timely manner nobody can accuse you of not having taken action.2 -
