4th (?) update + a question
* finished edging the left side, treacherous process, forgot to take a before, started the right side from both ends but kept running off to do something else 🙈
* Then i got a notification that it would rain, so I thought I should clean the roof of my shed, I want my tank to collect more water when it rains next week.
* I couldn't clean under the centre piece unfortunately, I couldn't reach. Can I get on top of the roof? Looking inside, it doesn't feel like it would be strong enough?
* Then I cleaned the sides & behind the shed, I didn't take a before, but the rubbish filled up 100lt of bags,
* then Liz had her hair cut, so did little Jonny but he hated his cut and wouldn't let me take an after photo 😅 (I forgot!)
and so did Tazz
🤣 section62 got there first 😝FreeBear said:twopenny said:Wow that's looking good now. Very smart and the wall looks nice with it, soft against the sharp lines. That Camelia is a treasure too! Really healthy.I wonder what is next?Take your time and go to some Open Gardens this summer?
Or maybe I'll volunteer to pick the weeds at the local garden😁

Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.2 -
Wow what a transformation! Well done, please keep sending photos and updates!4

Wow, I think you've done a great job and are making a lovely space. You should be proud.

I received so much help and support there when I started my garden transformation.
Good luck with your project - it is so so wonderful as being in your garden and taking it from vision to reality.
Good luck

If so, then - no - it will not take your weight. But don't worry about any leaves caught under that eaves ridge - it won't be an issue. Do you have a leaf-sucker/blower? If so, you could try aiming it along the underside of the ridge inside your shed, and blasting them out from there! There will be a gap at the apex, where the sheets on either side almost meet.Your Camellia is exactly what I was hoping to have against the front of our own house, but - alas - it's South-facing, and they seemingly don't like this. Where is yours located? Does it get direct sun for much of the time?2 -
Today is my birthday, I hit a milestone 🫡 so I treated myself to the recycling centre to get rid of my garden rubbish 🤣
I sorted out my drains in front of the property, thought it'll be easier before it rains (which it did today). Wanted to clean the whole area but it was already 8pm, and today is windy & chilly. Job for another day.
Does anyone know what the two wooden pieces are called? I want to search online and buy one. Have a basic lock to replace the old one, it is very worn out. Sorted.FreeBear said:Jemma01 said:

Thought about the leaf blower, but don't have and can't afford one. My pressure washer needs replacing now that it seems it will never be returned😖
The Camelia sits just beside the deck to the right, it gets a lot of sunshine. My garden is west facing, but the sun shines on that part of the garden from the gap between my property and the neighbour, and because the garden is very long and no properties around, once the sun moves behind the trees, the camelia is free to breathe 😅
This was taken at 9am on Sunday, and you can see the sun is covering most of the garden already

And if anyone is dying to see why little Jonny is not happy with his hair cut here he is🤣
by the way, if anyone knows what these plants are called, I'd be very grateful.

Wow, you've been busy. It's looking fab.Sorry, I wasn't ignoring you ref a photo of the brick edging, but this thread moved a bit far down my list, and I didn't see it. And it's dark now. Oops.Anyway...if you rotated each of those bricks alongside the path, by 90 degrees, that's it in a nutshell, but I shall try to remember to take a photo.1

You'll be even more envious when you see the freshly painted red and yellow fences 🤣. Thank you, I appreciate the support 🥰 NNNOOOOOOO!
By the way, if anyone knows what these plants are called, I'd be very grateful. Thanks - I think I've found a replacement for my Camellia idea, so should be fine - too risky in full, south-facing sun. What type of mobile phone do you have? If it uses Chrome as the web browser - tho' I'm sure others will have the same feature - you can take a pic and ask on there what plant it is.Open the browser, and you'll see the Search box. On the RH end, there will likely be a microphone (for asking by voice) and a 'picture' icon. Touch the latter, and it'll open your camera - click away. That bottom-right plant looks like an Aucuba Japonica Variegata - aka Spotted Laurel - very pretty.

Brick edging photo, as a photo makes everything clearer than me trying to explain it.... (skip over the scabby looking grass) ....1

Yes bottom one Acuba
The weeping one top left could be a Kilmarnock Willow.Really Need a close up of the leaves to identify.1
