The SDFix & HJT logs don't show anything that would cause your problems.
I see you managed to use Superantispyware.
How is the system running now?
Did you run Activescan as I suggested in my last post?
If so please post the log.

I've done everything on the guides and this thread but the problem is still the same. I didn't do another sys restore as all the points have bn wiped.
I have noticed the following:
-It works fine in safe mode.
-It works fine when a programme is running (when scanning etc).
-Explorer and Connection tray always need to be shut down manually.
-I can type if each key is held down for a second or so.
-It works fine after I have forced a shut down (which takes about 30 secs instead of about 5).
It is very strange!0 -
Anyone?!..0

I've had this problem before. It was a pain to fix, but pointed straight to zonealarms truevector monitor hogging all resource on startup for no valid reason. I was perplexed as to how it got into that state, and it was unpredicatable as to when it ended up getting into that state.
I spotted it when it last slowed down, and pressed Ctrl & Alt & ESC (i.e. gets the task manager) then sort by process cpu usage.
A zonealarm controlled re-install didn't work, so I had to uninstall it fully, and then install it again. It was the truevector monitor (Zonealarms firewall service) that went off the scale.
Since you've tried everything, can you try uninstalling it temporarily?0 -
@SJC ... sorry for the delay but I am extremely busy with the day job right now. I can't devote as much time here as I would like.
The log isn't revealing any malware that would cause your trouble but, then again, HJT is old and creaking at the edges. It's only a starting point for anything obvious. Malware can easily hide from HJT.
My opinion is there's something else at work here than we can't see at the moment.
As I can't help at the moment - and unless anyone else such as Browntoa or Alfonso have any advice - I recommend you post your problem on another,. more expert, site such as Bleeping Computer or TSF ............
BC > http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum103.html
TSF > http://www.techsupportforum.com/security-center/hijackthis-log-help/
Post your HJT log, and the explanation in your most recent troubles, and ask for their advice.
