Pip mobility car tax rebate

I didn’t need to pay tax on my previous car but do on my new(ish) car. I paid full price tax at the dealership, so want to claim my 50% discount. There is lots out there about how to pay for the tax but not a lot on how to claim a rebate, the DVLA chatbot is absolutely useless. Advice would be great fully received.
