in Credit cards
Hi there,
I have a question regarding taking out a 0% credit card.
We are set to remortgage May 2026, I have credit card with not a huge amount on but currently the cc has interest and I don't have the funds to pay it off in full. I applied for a 0% in December and was accepted, they asked for utility bill and ID which I sent by post, they said they recieved this after the cut off day so they drew a line under the application. So my query is, If I apply for another 0% with the remortgage in the near future will this terribly affect my credit score which in number is 999, the 0% I applied for in December shows on my timeline, but hasn't affected my score from what I see. Just worried about applying for another 0% so soon after..but I also need to get rid of the interest on the current one.
Thanks for reading

Ignore the credit/score rating. Lenders don't see this. Instead they will see the data on your credit files.
The general wisdom is to not make credit applications in the 6-12 months leading up to a mortgage application. Having credit applications, particularly several in rapid succession can put lenders off. Personally I wouldn't risk it. I'd get the mortgage application sorted as a priority. In the meantime I'd be throwing every spare penny at the interest bearing debt, as this will likely hurt your mortgage application as well.1
