Non Fault claim - How long before at Fault Insurer Makes Contact

Speak to the claims team first and check what the status of the claim is - open or closed, if closed was it closed as fault or non-fault.
The two firms I did claims work for were direct insurers and so assuming the claim was closed non-fault and the customer had renewed (not lapsed and bought again as a new customer) the reinstatement did happen automatically. If you buy via an intermediary things can be more complex especially given you may stick with the same firm but they place you with a different carrier and who's responsibility it is to deal with the different matters.
If the claim is closed as non-fault then go back to the service team and ask what's going on and if the NCD has been reinstated and recognised.
Going up 50% in year 2 wouldnt be predominately driven by a claim more than 12 months ago.
