Stick with Santander 123 Current Account or Switch to Santander Edge Current Account?

What about Chase as a new customer - instead of LHV?

If you are going to shut down the 123 account you might want to think about switching it elsewhere for an easy £200. You don't need to use the account you switch to for anything at all.

After a quick look about.
I'm tempted to Sign up to Chase - use the switching service and get the 123 account moved to them. Sign up for their boosted saver rate at 4.5% and then have the majority of the money sat in there

Search for "Reddit Beer Money chase £50" and you can get a referral bonus for each person, free £50
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Thanks. Will take a look.
Does everyone think that this is a sensible move?

It's not a matter of being sensible, just do the numbers - if you earn more than the fee with Santander, stay with them and just open a chase account, use the referral code when signed up and both of you get £50, take advantage of the saver for a year; if your fees are more than you earn then do the same but switch as well.

Yeah, I've signed up, got the referral done too

Just picking this back up.
If I were to sign up for a new edge account (not upgrading the 123 account, will move that to Barclays for the £200) but I don't pay in £500 and I don't have two direct debits, then I don't get charged the £3 monthly fee, right?
Then I can open the saver account, chuck in 4k at 6%?

Yes. And yes.

Thanks. Account created and applied for the Edge Saver.
Will make a mental note to basically not touch the Edge Current Account at all!
Edit: Saver up and running and 4k moved over into that. Assuming it's best to transfer out the interest every month?
