Moving from FTTP area to a part fibre area

I am moving house later this year, but need new broadband contract for 6 months or so now. Happy to have a longer contract if I can take it with me, but once my postcode is entered, I only get offered FTTP deals by providers. Am in an FTTP area, but am moving to a part fibre area, so can't take full fibre contract with me. Do any of the suppliers allow a change from FTTP contract to a part fibre contract during home moves, or would I end up paying an exit charge of the balance of the FTTP contract, then getting a part fibre contract at my new place?

You could just let your existing contract continue on a rolling monthly basis until you move, rather than risk early termination charges.

Existing contract rising massively to £63 month in 15 days. BB comparison site deals offered at around £26 month. Depends when we move I suppose, something that is out of our control just now. We hope 6 - 9 months, so difference in cost would still be cheaper than paying ETC, but hoped not to have to pay ETC at all. Thanks for your suggestion though.

Most of the comparison sites let you filter for on-month contracts. Do you get any results if you do this?

Have you explored whether you could put up with a 4G/5G solution. See what speeds you can get using your mobile phone as a hotspot. Even get a couple of paygo sims from other networks to see what sort of service you can get.

We have a 4G router that we cart around the country with us when we go caravanning. Last year were were in places where we were getting nearly 80mbit/s with THREE. We can still get over 25mbit/s with it where we live out in Fenland which would be more than fast enough for most of what we do (we actually have 100mbits FTTP)

If it also works where you are intending to live, then you may never have to have a fixed service anymore
