Cheap Energy Club - British gas tariff not offered

On the Cheap Energy Club site I am not being offered any British Gas fixed tariffs.
I was hoping to take advantage of the B Gas Fixed Tariff v49 as detailed in Martin's Money Tips newsletter 25/03/25. I logged into the new Cheap Energy Club site and completed my details (incidentally my current supply is from B Gas on a fixed tariff). Then onto the results page but no Fixed B Gas tariffs! I checked that I haven't accidentally excluded anything with the filters.
I then went to the B Gas website and can change to v49 tariff there but I was hoping to benefit from the £17.50 cashback.
Any ideas or is it a glitch with the new site?

Probably for new customers only.0

It's right at the top of the list for me even though there are cheaper ones below it.Bob0

Hi,
im having the same problem and this deal is not just for new customers. It clearly states that its also for existing customers.0 -
Hi - I've checked with colleagues and we're aware of a problem with industry data that means that some existing BG customers won't see the exclusive tariff in the Energy Club.
A suggested workaround is to specify a different provider as your current provider in the Cheap Energy Club, and you'll then be able to see the BG offer.
If you do this, there's a possibility your tariff switch will need an extra nudge from our team, so if your tariff doesn't get changed on your BG account in the next couple of weeks, drop an email to energyclub@moneysavingexpert.com so we can take a look and prod things where necessary.Official MSE Forum Team member. Please report all problem posts to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi James. I take your point about specifying a different provider to see the BG v49 tariff if you are an existing BG customer. That is only useful to know if you are made aware that the site doesn't show existing BG customers alternatives from BG. Can this not be made clear on the site (unless I've missed it)? Not least because I am offered the BG Standard Variable tarrif!0
