Can anyone recommend a sim for Switzerland?

EE want £15 to use my PM sim over there.
I use 3 when I go to the USA, but this is the first time in Switzerland.
My wife and I will be there for 6 days at the start of April.

Is there a UK sim, or are we better getting a local sim there?

Thanks. . .

I use 1p Mobile, who include Switzerland in their "EU" countries. I use them primarily for roaming in the Channel Is, as they are one of the few to include roaming there for no extra cost.

Another is O2 Classic PAYG, discontinued for new customers, but SIMs available from eBay and Amazon.

Beware that many operators require you to use the SIM in the UK first and expect the use to be greater in the UK than when roaming.

Many thanks.  So, if I order a couple of 1p sims today and use them as soon as they arrive we should be ok, as we don't leave for Switzerland until the 7th of April. You think just over the week in the UK is going to keep 1p happy?

Right now you could get a SIM with Smarty for £6 which gives you 12GB of data. Smarty allow you to roam in Switzerland for free up to 12GB so this is not a bad deal. Also includes unlimited calls and texts to back home.

My guess is yes, but it is only a guess. That Smarty £6 SIM looks like good value too, although for UK use it is using the 3 network and in the past when we used 3 it was unreliable compared to EE (1p use EE). Clearly for overseas use it doesn't matter.

Just back from Switzerland and this isn't the case as Switzerland isn't in the EU.  You can buy a Smarty out of plan add on and over 3 days I spent about £5.

Fair enough. In that case, I would go with 1p Mobile. You can get their 25GB package for £10. You will be allowed to use up to 14GB in Switzerland for free.

I've just had the Smarty sim through the letterbox this morning... No problem, my daughter is going to Paris on Thursday, she can use it.
I've ordered a couple of 1p sim now...

    Thanks for info everyone :)
