Intelligent Octopus Go - EV Charging Schedules good, but being charged at peak rate

My IHD does not have the correct tariff price for electricity at any point in the day, but the Octopus Mini does a great job and does follow the IOG pricing accurately.QrizB said:Somebody said:My IHD displays the correct rate/kWh at the relevant time periods, and also correctly calculate and display the current cost per hour at the bottom.
IHDs get their pricing data from the meter. It isn't updated in real time and so the IHD and meter will state that the daytime tariff applies during daytime IOG smart charging periods.Somebody said:.In other words, does the IHD reflect the cheap rate dynamically during Smart Control Schedules? For as long as you're on IOG, don't believe any pricing info that your IHD shows.

Good to know, thanks. Pity my Mini is staying green - was white until I left Octopus (but stayed with them for gas); and remaining green since returning. I have been emailing Octopus to turn the LED white from green, to no avail. When I was on gas only I wasn't too bothered but it would be great to get the Mini working again for the electric.MWT said:

CS said they would remove it from the back end and email me instructions to reset and re-add. Kept checking emails but nothing. Then lo and behold, it started working this afternoon with no intervention from me!However, there is no pricing information against the live Mini data:
So where else to look?TIA0 -
On the Live option I have never had the option to switch to a £ value, it only shows usage.

If usually takes 3-5 days for pricing to be available, so my most recent cost is for 31st.

Weirdly after posting that I went in again and I now get the £ option, although the same error message as you. I would not expect it to work though.

Mine shows £ on live

I'm not seeing the details in the app, but having the mini opens up access to the current meter rates / costs via Home Assistant.0

That would make sense as I believe the Ohme only provides session data to Octopus after the end of the session and the EV is unplugged.QrizB said:Somebody said:However, there is no pricing information against the live Mini data:...So where else to look?FWIW, I get exactly the same "can't estimate the cost" message. It might be because I've got an Ohme charger, and the integration with Octopus's app isn't complete (hence having to set schedules in the Ohme app instead).
