Sky 12-15% mid contract increases

On 14/03/25, Sky's emailed me states that it is increasing their charges from 01 April, just 17 days notice.
Sky entertainment TV only including Netflix basic is going up by £2.15/m (11.3%) and broadband band by £3.00/m (15.8%).
I was advised when I signed up that I could leave if I felt the increase was too high and it would probably only go up by a pound and a few pence.
I can leave sky broadband, but they say I cannot cancel the TV package because it is in a 2 year contract.
Any advice or help please?

I too have had an increase - my Sky HD discount has also expired - my sky bill is now more than my BT one when they convinced me to change as it would be cheaper... :/

Time to delve into Sky's Ts and Cs, but I am pretty sure they are correct, no get out of jail for TV but one for broadband.

With that percentage increase on TV I guess you have discounts on your contract.

    Read your T&Cs.

As above, you can advise them that you're moving suppliers for the broadband due to the rises but the TV part is what you agreed to when you signed up. If you believe you were mis-sold then you'll need to put in a complaint but good luck with that.

If you are leaving the BB then you do have to tell them first, if you just switch supplier then you'll be charged ETC's.
