Worth switching fixes now?

Currently with Outfox the Market on a fix the is due to end in very early August. Apparently I can change to another fix without waiting for my current one to end, with them, without having to pay an exit fee.

I've been mulling over whether it's worth switching to a different fix now, or waiting until later in the year to see if a better one becomes available. Right now there is a fix that is actually slighter cheaper, over the year, than the one I'm on now. The gas rate is more, but the electricity is quite a bit cheaper, and most of my bill over the year is electricity. Both standing charges are more than what I'm paying right now.

Some people in similar positions to you are changing fixes, but it will depend on the specifics of your situation.
You'll need to do the sums and make your own choice.

You literally need to sit down and look at the unit prices, your normal consumption, then add on the standing charges and see what is cheaper.

Standing charges don't tend to be as important as unit price - compare an extra 5p a day standing charge (£18 a year) to an extra 1p per kwh on gas - if you use 12,000 kwh a year that's an extra £120.

The question was actually about whether it's worth waiting until later in the year or instead grabbing what's on offer right now.

This was the best answer.  "You'll need to do the sums and make your own choice"

If the fix has no exit fee, you may as well fix if it's cheaper and then switch again if something better appears down the line.

That's the thing. I'm going by what other customers have told me. I've contacted them directly for confirmation.

Yet you expect someone on here to have one? If it’s cheaper now and no exit fees then switch.
