Credit File Dispute

I disputed a bill with an Evergy company in 2023. The couldn’t provide evidence of where the £498 was from but it was due to the systems migration. This has gone back and forth until February 2025 when they said it was still outstanding and needed to be paid as the complaints process found it had provided evidence. I am currently desperate to borrow some money either by loan or mortgage as we have very little debt and know our creit score is great only to find out they have placed at 6 on my file and I have been told nobody would now think about giving me a loan. I spoke with the supplier and even agreed to lay the disputed amount if they remove this but they have refused. I’m worried sick and not sure where to turn. Any help would be much appreciated.

@tdon Might I suggest you post the details of your debt problems on the debt free wannabe board, and we can then help you find a solution to your money problems that does not involve borrowing and getting even deeper into debt.
We are a friendly bunch and have seen most problems that can easily be solved by debt management or even a more formal solution, depending on your circumstances.
