Hi there. Happy New Year to you all.

Can anyone advise me which is the cheapest PAYG for a 16 year old who talks to his friends a lot. (Funny all we get is an occasional grunt!)

He is on an O2 contract at the moment in our name (BIG MISTAKE). He is unable to control himself and gone over his limit costing us a fortune which he will now have to repay at least part. Also O2 do not update the online statements very regularly so are always about 36-48 hours behind.

We feel it would be a valuable lesson if he had a PAYG for a while so he is unable to go over.

Can anyone advise what is the best PAYG deal. We are looking for talktime and texts. Thank you.

There are a few that can combine the two. T-Mobile have a system where you pay a contract but once its gone you top up like a PAYG. We use Vodafone, where if you spend £5 per week, you have free unlimited texts and minutes all weekend (time restraints). We also have Vodafone Family, where we pay £7 per month for 6 vodafone numbers and all calls (under an hour) bewteen the 6 vodafone numebrs are free. It means that the kids do not waste credit calling parents, but can ALWAYS call us whether they have credit or not.

    3 payg - £21 = 700 units, 1 unit = 1 min or 1 text & you can buy a text bundle ontop- top one is 200 for £10, so £31 a month will buy alot

get him a 3skypephone 49.99 let his mates call him for free, aswell as msn/yahoo messenger for free
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Thankyou for your suggestions, I'll look into them all. It will be more expensive for PAYG I know but it is clear that he is not able to control his mouth! If only he spent that much time on his studies!

I think that PAYG is not as expensive as you might think, especially if you are not having to pay a HUGE bill lol.
Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!
