I have literally gotten the same letter on Saturday 22/3/2025. I did not receive any previous letter before this whatsoever and I have to pay £784.28.
The company that made the fine against me are called ‘PARKING CHARGE LIMITED’ and they handed this case over to these guys ‘High Court Bailiffs Debt Enforcement’ and their website is ‘www.hcbde.org’. I called the number on the letter which was 01618048800 and a lady picked up saying that you should only call this number if you want to make a payment and if you require any evidence email us your reference number and they will get back to you in 3 to 5 working days.
What I am so confused about is that the date of notice issued was 13/03/2025 and on the letter it says ‘we now request full payment of the balance within 7 working days from the date of this letter, this date being 24/03/2025’. How was this letter dated for 24th when I received it 2 days before. I was also not driving for a whole month since 13th Feb till 13th march as I was looking for different insurances so I didn’t even drive for a whole month. And even if the ‘notice issued date is 13th march’ I still did not drive the car for the for 2 days after. So I don’t know where this is coming from. When I search their name on google nothing comes up I only have to exactly type in their website url for it show up. And I have no court date no previous letters calls or emails regarding this ticket I got. I have never even once gotten a single ticket or fine or anything ever since I’ve first got my license and even if I did I would’ve paid right away and not delay it for it cost me nearly £800. And if they do come to my house and it leads to them taking my belongings all the enforcement fees, sale and disposal fee adds up to £1808.78. !!!!!!?
I believe it could be a scam but what scares me is how do they have full name address and even car registration? Where could they have gotten all that from? My minds being f***ed ever since I got this letter and I am already struggling financially. Can anyone please also help me. Who should I report this to and confirm. I have even checked the actual enforcement officer website and typed their company name in but nothing comes up so I don’t know what to do. Please Help.0 -

THIS IS A SCAM.
NOBODY CALLS ROUND.
They got your data from this:
"I was also not driving for a whole month since 13th Feb till 13th march as I was looking for different insurances"
The data was from you entering your details on an insecure vehicle insurance page.
Just report this bailiff fraud to Action Fraud like everyone else. Calm down. Relax. Show your friends and laugh at how bad the letter is!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi,
I have received the below letter from them and I checked the web domain and it seems the website has only been created this month, even told them I sold the vehicle back in March 2024 and they said when I emailed them the fine is from February 2024, I have just ignored any further communication as I never received any previous correspondence from them.0 -
Why on earth did you contact them?
Surely everyone can see this is a scam letter? It screams scam and is so obvious. They got your data from you searching for vehicle insurance recently.
Have you all reported it to Action Fraud along with the website, to get it closed down and stop naive victims actually falling for it?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
