How can i easily go about extending the TV aerial cable

Im sorry , i dont know what the correct terms are but the cable that comes into the house that connects to the tv but it is too short to reach the new tv i have . I need it to be extended by another metre or maybe a metre and a half.  Is there any way i can do this myself without having to strip wires etc as i have no tools for this .  I know that there are people that can do this however they are charging around £100

I dont understand how these cables will connect the the current cable thats already coming in through the wall from the outside  . As i said i dont want to strip the current cable

On Mr Generous' link the little thing to the right plugs into the existing cable and then the new cable plugs into that and your TV. No need for wire stripping or anything other than plugging an adapter in and then a cable. The alternative is an aerial cable with a male and female end, which achieves the same as the adaptor.

No they are not all the same quality.  But the readily available ones are mostly cheap rubbish but work in most cases where signals are relatively strong / no interference.

Cable connectors and leads – A.T.V. Poles, Brackets, Clamps & Aerials is worth reading.
