Is this a branded product (G plan, Natuzzi etc or a generic DFS model?) as a decent quality leather sofa (and just because this one was expensive, doesn't mean it is quality) would not do that after 20 years, never mind 2.
As above I'd pay for an independent inspection as it looks like a bonded 'leather' material which is failing.0 -

Had multiple leather sofas that lasted many years, DFS sofa was showing extreme wear and colour loss, sagging after a relatively short time 2-3 years. Similar priced Sofa bought before lasted till long after it and still going.
DFS are very poor quality and consequently have great experience at defending quality issues.0
